National Gallery of London - Chronicles of Emptiness is an over painted book, the book being "Art Treasures of the National Gallery London" by Sir Philip Hendy published by Abrams 1955. I have drawn painted and collaged into each page as well as working on the verso of many of the tipped in plates. It is my twentieth over painted book work. This work is a sketch book, a memoir, a journal and a conversation with history. I will be posting new images each day.

The Mantle of Painting
Beyond the garden with its 100 poets and giant bees there is a mantle of painting behind which there lurks another world of playful freedom, vistas for discovery and oceans to get lost in.
